[00:00:00] Until Next Year

Our last live show of the year is set to be a great one! We’ll talk with some of our favorite people like BJ Killeen (@CarBuzzard), Chris Duke (@chrisduketv), Josh Hancock (@JOSHCAR), and Karl Brauer (@karlbrauer)! We also hear about some new innovative companies like Shift (@driveshift) and Navdy (@navdyInc). Stick around!

[00:02:39] 2017 Ford Raptor

Looking for one monster of a truck that has 6 different drive modes and can handle deserts, rocks, and practically anything else you could throw at it? Alan knows the vehicle for you. After testing out the 2017 Ford Raptor with freelance journalist Bradley Iger, he’s convinced it’s been made for the most hardcore and limit-testing driver; enthusiasts after his own heart.

[00:12:30] Shifting to a New Car Buying System

Buying a car can be a real hassle. Between finding the time to make it to a dealership, setting up a test drive, and getting access to financing, it almost isn’t worth the trouble. George Arison, Founder and CEO of Shift (@driveshift), felt the same way. That’s why he started a company that’s partnered with Hertz (@Hertz) to bring a car to you for a test drive, purely at and for your convenience. Just set up a drive, get in the car, and buy it on the spot if you so desire! Financing and trade-ins have been made easy as well. Check out Shift.com for more information!

[00:19:51] Distraction Eliminator, Navdy

Limiting distractions behind the wheel is a safety priority that many companys are focusing on. Navdy (@navdyInc), an augmented reality smartphone interface that sits on your dash, is the latest (and possibly greatest) invention designed to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road while keeping you digitally connected. Founder and CEO Doug Simpson tells us how this affordable device displays a transparent image right in front of you, uses gesture control to answer calls, and even helps you navigate. Find out how you can purchase Navdy here.

[00:27:18] First Pancake Syndrome

It’s been far too long since we’ve had BJ Killeen (@CarBuzzard) on the line! As always, she’s testing out a great new addition to the auto world. Gone are the days when drivers had to suffer through a cheap and unpleasant first car; today’s entry-level vehicles come with all the features you need, comfort you desire, and price your wallet loves. Let’s hear BJ’s take on the Kia Forte Ex.

[00:35:16] Luxury and Speed

Alan almost missed receiving his annual ticket, until he was pulled over on the way to LA. Find out what car he was driving this time that nudged his speed demon habits! Speaking of great vehicles, BJ Killeen (@CarBuzzard) also had a chance to try out a car that’s received countless awards and tons of great reviews: the Mazda CX-9.

[00:41:35] Daredevil Antics

Chris Duke (@chrisduketv) jumps on the line and is instantly regaled with Alan’s tale of driving ridiculously fast through the desert in a 2017 Ford Raptor. He may or may not have hit 100, and there’s also a slim chance he went airborne…4 times. At least there were helmets involved!

[00:47:39] Massive Towing Capability

Who would think to put a Hellcat engine in a Jeep Grand Cherokee? Apparently, Jeep would! You can expect to see this insane machine in July of 2017. Meanwhile, Chris Duke (@chrisduketv) recommends trying out the 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie Longhorn Crew Cab 4×4, which successfully towed 10,000 pounds of steel to Vegas and back without struggle.

[00:54:07] #AskDuke

Friendly reminder from Alan Taylor: Check your oil! A recent fiasco with a Fiat 500 reaffirmed that lesson. Also, be sure to check out Chris Duke‘s (@chrisduketv) latest project, #AskDuke. Submit all of your automotive questions in the form of a video, and Chris will tackle them! Submit requests at askduke.tv.

[01:01:22] Kia Sedona Adventures

We’ve managed to rouse Josh Hancock (@JOSHCAR) from a deep slumber, and he’s feeling particularly chirpy for an early Saturday morning! His first priority is to inform BJ Killeen (@CarBuzzard) of a scene in a new Christmas movie featuring her favorite vehicle, a Kia Sedona. Check out a video the two of them made along with Dick Messer, Kia Sedona Confessions on YouTube!

[01:10:15] Karl Brauer Gossip

While trying and failing to get Karl Brauer (@karlbrauer) on the line, the group decides instead to talk about him behind his back. Topics up for discussion are what organ he should sell in order to afford the new Ford GT he’s been given special allowance to purchase, and what he could make off his 2005 model if he chose to sell.

[01:17:20] The Anticipation is Building

Now that we’ve finally contacted Karl Brauer (@karlbrauer), we’re anxious to hear if he has any updates on the upcoming and much-anticipated Ford GT. And he does! But it’s not all good news…listen in to find out when he can expect to receive the vehicle that may end up costing an actual arm and leg.
