[00:00:00] Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance Celebrates 22 Years
If you are looking for a celebration of automobiles like no other, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is the show for you! This event has been a fan-favorite for 22 years, located at The Ritz-Carlton on the beautiful Amelia Island in Florida. Founder and Chairman, Bill Warner, tells us how he originally became a part of one of the most popular car shows in the world. Then, will weather concerns cause event delays? Find out.
[00:05:43] Popular Car Event Donates Over $3-million to Charity
In the beginning, Bill Warner, Founder of the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, was asked to create an event that would bring business to the island. Bill agreed with one very strict stipulation; the money they raised at the event would go to charity, and with that a foundation was born. To date over $3-million has been raised to benefit amazing causes like Spina Bifida of Jacksonville, community hospice, Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, and the Fernandina Beach Shop with Cops program for underprivileged children. Learn more about this bucket-list event.

[00:19:33] Shell Eco-Marathon Inspires Fuel-Saving Innovations
Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the Shell Eco-Marathon America is putting the future of fuel economy into the hands of a younger generation at the Make the Future Detroit festival. Pam Rosen, General Manager of the Shell Eco-Marathon North America, shares how students from all over the country are spending months designing fuel efficient vehicles to be tested on a specially created track in downtown Detroit. Some teams have achieved well over 1,000 miles per gallon! With a 5k fun run, Q&A’s with notable NASCAR drivers, and hands-on activities galore, this free festival is a home run for the whole family. Discover how Shell is powering progress now.
[00:30:05] Chris Duke Reviews Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
When you think of a Jeep, does luxury come to mind? Motorz Television Host, Chris Duke, is here to tell us how the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is turning the heads of the most discriminating driving enthusiasts. Chris tells us he suffered a bout of separation anxiety when he had to return the car after his allotted test drive time. Although the steep price tag is enough to give many pause, we get the drift that this Jeep comes with everything you could want in a 4-wheel performance vehicle. Plus, Jeep has let leak they’ll soon be releasing a Hellcat version of this luxurious SUV. It’s time to explore the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
[00:35:34] The Luxurious Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
Don’t let the popular misconception fool you, a car can be both masculine AND luxurious. Chris Duke, Host of Motorz, describes the supple black suede interior of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, assuring us that his masculinity remained intact due to the sheer power of the vehicle. This glorious ride comes equipped with a 6.4L Hemi V8 and is engineered for high performance on and off the track. While the price of this model is high, Chris thinks it’s worth every penny with an innovative design and full suite of amenities. Yup, Jeep has got what you crave. Tune in for more.
[00:41:48] Hennessey Performance Revamps Epic 2017 Ford Raptor
The 2017 Ford Raptor is the “Swiss Army Knife of vehicles”, as John Hennessey puts it. This truck can do everything you need it to do; hauling, towing, every-day driving, and even dirt racing. As if all of that was not enough, Hennessey Performance has created the VelociRaptor 600 Supercharged Engine Upgrade, effectively making the Raptor taller, faster, and wider – Oh my! Did we mention that with Hennessey’s skilled tuning, the 2017 V6 10-speed cranked out more power than the 6.2L V8 on the dyno? Discover how this already well-rounded truck is reaching next-level heights.
[00:48:04] Horsepower 101: Aftermarket Mods for Camaro ZL1
Nobody knows horsepower like John Hennessey of Hennessey Performance. John shares his experience with the stock Camaro ZL1 and its surprising speed battle against the Corvette Z06. The Camaro’s supercharged V8 has powerful torque while remaining light and nimble. We also hear about The Hennessey Tuner School which teaches students to modify wheels, tires, suspension, and tuning in addition to hands-on welding and fabrication techniques, and a powerful knowledge of superchargers and turbochargers. Discover how you can sharpen your skills in this 14-week program.
[00:53:57] BJ Killeen Buys Lincoln MKC SUV, Enjoys Luxury Perks
It was finally time for automotive journalist BJ Killen to buy a car and she had a craving for luxury. BJ was immediately drawn to the compact Lincoln MKC SUV because of Lincoln’s unique “pickup and delivery ownership experience.” The convenient service allows you to contact a local dealership via smartphone app, have your vehicle picked up, serviced, washed and dropped off at your destination of choice – in the meantime, owners enjoy a complimentary loner vehicle. BJ also raves about the elegantly integrated, tech-savvy features. Are you ready to get behind the wheel of this comfortable, ritzy ride?
[01:01:13] Hyundai Ioniq’s Modular Drivetrain Platform
For the first time, Hyundai has created a modular electric drivetrain platform, and it’s flippin’ brilliant! Kelley Blue Book’s Karl Brauer explains that the Hyundai Ioniq has three different engine options; hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and pure EV. These cars have a sufficient driving range of 124 miles, 136 MPGe efficiency, and a price tag as low as $19,000 after state and federal rebates. Built-in navigation helps drivers find the nearest charging station to help eliminate any ‘range anxiety’. Plus, the Ioniq is small, yet spacious with the most interior volume of any hybrid on the market. Karl shares release dates and more.
[01:11:50] Vintage Porsche Sales Rise Says Workshop 5001 Founder
Today’s classic car collectors seem to be setting their sights on the vintage Porsche. Marlon Goldberg, Founder of Workshop 5001 in LA and former Singer restorer, is not surprised by the reemergence of Porsche’s popularity. These cars cost a pretty penny to work on, so it’s important for enthusiasts to find a quality restorer. Cue Marlon’s shop, Workshop 5001, a boutique garage specializing in high-end classics and working with many exclusive vendors in order to rejuvenate and refine the most exquisite project vehicles. Find out how Workshop 5001 is making waves in the car world.
