[00:00:00] “Ford v Ferrari”, aka “Le Mans 66”
Being a Hollywood Car Consultant has its perks. One of those perks is that JoshCAR’s Josh Hancock got to see the new movie starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale, “Ford Vs. Ferrari”, early. This movie tells the story of Carroll Shelby’s struggle with Ford Motor Company while designing a badass car to take on Ferrari ath the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France. Interestingly enough, in other parts of the world the film goes by the name “Le Mans 66”. Tune in to find out why.

[00:06:01] Car Guy or Not – Watch Ford v Ferrari
Are you a car guy, or maybe just a casual observer? Turns out, you’re going to love the upcoming movie “Ford v Ferrari” either way. JoshCAR Hollywood Car Consultant, Josh Hancock, tells us more about this epic story and why it took so long to put it to film. No movie is perfect, though, and hardcore car enthusiasts may pick out a few errors; but try to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the thrill ride. Listen in to learn more.

[00:12:31] All-Star Cast Nails It in Ford v Ferrari
Films aren’t always the most authentic medium for telling historical stories, so how does Ford v Ferrari stack up? JoshCAR Hollywood Car Consultant, Josh Hancock, describes how well each actor filled their role, and how accurate the depiction was to reality. Josh says Matt Damon, who played Carroll Shelby, and Chrstian Bale, who played Ken Miles, did a great job portraying their characters. It’s also very faithful to the world as it was, for example, seeing people driving AC Cobras (Shelby’s first design with a ford motor) and the depiction of the Ford GT40s was spot on. With plenty of drama, fast-paced action, and a running of 2.5 hours, this film has a bit of something for everyone. Check it out in theaters, November 15th.

[00:19:51] “Big Red” Camaro Build Book
Are you a fan of the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro “Big Red” and want to know more about it? Automotive Journalist, BJ Killeen, and her husband recently released their book out called the build book that has the cars entire history which includes the 2 builds that it went through due to a fire. The car has a long history that you can read about. Listen for the discount code if you want 35 dollars off the build book.

[00:28:05] Toyota Prius Prime / Mustang Mischief
Toyota is leading the charge in the race for vehicle electrification. Last time we chatted with Automotive Journalist, BJ Killeen, she was fresh back from her Evolution Drive with Toyota. It’s not quite as fresh anymore, but that’s not hindering BJ’s ability to recall some of the awesome features of the Toyota Prius Prime. With a 25 mile all-electric range, and estimated 224 average gallons saved on your commute, the Prius Prime is great for the everyday commuter. Also, Alan tells the story of his near-miss run-in with the law while driving the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Listen in for the full story.

[00:35:53] Updated Prius Prime, New EV Incentives
Are you interested in an electric car, but range anxiety is keeping you from making the purchase? Maybe you like the Prius Prime but the limited seating turned you off. Automotive Journalist, BJ Killeen, shares about the new Toyota Prius Prime, updated for 2020 with bench seating for carrying a total of 5 passengers. If the high price tags on these vehicles are a pain-point for you, Democratic Senator, Chuck Schumer, new proposal to subsidize EVs with $3,000-$5,000 buyer rebates may help you out. Do you think this is a good plan, or should they spend that money on hydrogen fuel infrastructure across the US?

[00:42:14] The Toyota GR Supra Is Polarizing
If there’s one thing we’ve come to realize about the new Toyota GR Supra, it’s that it is a very polarizing car. Purists hate it’s assumed misuse of the name and borrowing of BMW Z4 chassis, other enthusiasts love it’s look, power, and agility regardless. Cartender Co-Founder, and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, George Kennedy III, reminds us that their partnership with BMW is the reason why Toyota was able to bring the GR Supra to market so quickly and affordably. Side note: We keep saying “GR” Supra, what does “GR” mean anyway? Tune in to find out.

[00:48:19] Photos Don’t Do Toyota GR Supra Justice
If you haven’t had a chance to see the new Toyota GR Supra in person and get behind the wheel, you’re probably not giving it a fair shake. Cartender Co-Founder, and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, George Kennedy III, says the Supra looks really busy on paper, but once you meet it you’ll think “YES! This is what a good sports car looks like”. Looks aside, it’s 335 HP, twin turbo straight-six engine, with 365 lb-ft of torque provides more than enough power to rip up the track. Find out why you don’t need 700+ HP to be a speed demon.

[00:54:45] Toyota GR Supra Melting Pot
Alan is loving the hell out of his new Toyota GR Supra, even with all of the hate mail he’s getting! Freelance Automotive Journalist, George Kennedy III, puts the complaints into perspective – if Toyota could spend the money to make the exterior of the Supra its own, why couldn’t they do the same for the interior? Alan argues that this sort of marriage of companies represents a melting pot, which has allowed for Toyota to bring the GR Supra out for $49,990. What do you think of the new Supra?

[01:02:05] Driving and Living in Toyota GR Supra
So we’ve talked about the controversy surrounding the Toyota GR Supra, their partnership with BMW, and how great the car looks; but how does it drive? Co-Founder of Cartender and Freelance Automotive Journalist, George Kennedy III, has gotten to sit with, or rather squeeze into, the new GR Supra over the last week and he’s loving it. For all of the negative he has to say about the legacy, the car is amazing based purely on merits. Complete with a minimalist head up display and instrument panel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and 50/50 weight distribution that you can really feel going through the turns, this car is a steal for $49,995. Are you going to get a 2020 Toyota GR Supra?

[01:11:12] What To Know About Electric Conversions
Have you ever heard of electric car conversions? Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, George Kennedy III, fills us in on the process of turning a gas powered car into an electric speed demon. Take your classic car and make it electric; it might lessen the value of your car, but people have been doing this for years. Listen in to learn more.

[01:18:07] SEMA: Massive Automotive Expo in Vegas
