Brembo seems to be everywhere in the auto industry as of late. President and CEO of Brembo Brakes North America, Dan Sandberg, tells us how Brembo is involved with the new Mustang Mach-E. Electric cars are heavy with all the batteries and motors so designers need to save weight where they can. Enter Brembo – their calipers are made of aluminum to reduce weight. On another point, while the price of carbon ceramic brakes has gone down, they are still not included on the new Mustang Mach-E.

Brembo’s new braking system allows for great performance, but it also comes in a smaller package so manufacturers can fit vehicles with smaller wheels and keep braking performance high. Every industry has been affected by COVID-19 in one way or another. President and CEO of Brembo Brakes North America, Dan Sandberg, tells us how Brembo has been affected by this pandemic. The state of Michigan, where Brembo North America is headquartered, has been shut down by executive order until 2021. Brembo is based out of Italy, who is about 4 weeks ahead of the US, so Brembo had an extra leg up on the situation. It was getting hard to do work with everything going on in Italy.
