Alan Taylor has been the Grand Marshal of Hot August Nights in Reno for nearly a decade, and it’s not just his car guy celebrity status that got him that honor. Alan is an auto expert in every sense; from painting and rebuilding classics to test driving the newest high-performance vehicles for global manufactures and interviewing industry leaders his weekly automotive radio show, The Drive with Alan Taylor. Starting off at 19 as a car painter, Alan was bit by the car bug young. He not only refined and mastered his craft as an accomplished painter, but dove deep into learning many facets of classic cars. Today, Alan is held in high regard for his keen eye when choosing his very favorite cars in a sea of some of the best classics out there. As the iconic Hot August Nights’ Grand Marshal, Alan Taylor’s own award show really gained traction and often made grown men tear up.
