From America’s answer to the sports car, the Corvette, iconic tail fin styling, to safety and design inventions, Harley Earl was one of the most important automotive designers to date. His grandson, Richard Earl, is a walking encyclopedia of automotive history and tells a compelling story of some of Harley’s legendary designs. In Richard’s eyes, and many would agree, we owe modern automotive design to Harley J. Earl.
