Joe Petralia of Rare Performance Motorcars brought this incredibly rare 1967 Opel Kadett L Rallye to Barrett-Jackson. Most Opel Kadetts didn’t survive and rotted. This Opel, which was actually categorized as a performance car back in the day, was found a few years ago in San Diego, restored to perfection and brought to Barrett-Jackson where it performed quite well on the block.

This 1967 Opel Kadett L Rallye with a 1.1 Liter twin carb was restored in 2013 by renowned Opel Guru “Gordon Klug”, and has only 56,782 original miles. It’s fitted with its original “11 SR” Rallye performance engine with dual 35mm Solex carbs, 4-speed manual transmission and factory power disc brakes. “Hella” Rally lamps and Rallye gauge package rounds out the entire package, all new “NOS” interior was sourced for restoration. Most Rallye Kadetts were red or silver, so this Bamboo yellow is quite unique. It’s an extremely rare car to find today.
