With ground breaking Desert-tuned suspensions, responsive handling, all the while delivering power, say “Hello, to my little friend”, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave. Alan busts onto the scene with his new jeep that even Mother Nature would appreciate. He welcomes his first guest, Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, NACT of the Year juror and board member as they discuss what cars to buy. Alan shares he got tired of paying huge gas bills while owning the 2012 Raptor and has been on a new car “high” from buying his new vehicle. Karl talks about the new Mustang Mach 1 and how it pays homage to the 1969 Mustang Mach 1. The two go on to discuss the partnership between Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi Outlander, with it’s 3rd row seating, seems to be making Mitsubishi some much needed money. Karl says its a very solid vehicle and drives just as nice. They go back to discuss how the Jeep Gladiator is a great example of a vehicle that doesn’t depreciate much in value. Alan takes a pit stop to bring on Chris Buescher – Driver No. 17 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing. Chris talks about being with the Roush group for 12 years and how Jack gave him his big chance to break into NASCAR. He goes on to talk about the Bristol Dirt race, and how crazy it was to take asphalt driven vehicles, and drive them on dirt. BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason joins in and shares in on Alan’s new Jeep Gladiator Mohave and how amazing it is for off road driving. He goes on to say how he gets about twice the mpg of his Raptor, and how he purchased a Borla duel exhaust for it to get even better mpg. BJ and Alan compare the Gladiator to the Wrangler, their conclusion is the only thing the Wrangler has on the Gladiator is it’s tow package. BJ talks about the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger fight that has been going on for years, and now the new fight is amongst EV vehicles. George Kennedy III – Co-founder of Cartender and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, and U.S. News & World Report, joins the ride as he shares about driving his new Chevrolet Suburban, and says it has all the bells and whistles and how it handles more like a truck than a SUV. They discuss why diesels get better mpg than gasoline engines and it’s usually because they have more gears so its easier on the engine. For more scoops of what’s happening in the auto world, join Alan and his guest on this weeks, “The Drive”.
