Joining Alan this week is special guest Ed Bolian – Founder of VINwiki & presenter of Car Trek. He and Alan share their experience working with Autotempest.com and how the company is working with a lot of great car guys to get their message out to the world. Ed says VINwiki has become a crowdsourced vehicle history reporting platform. Basically people can look up the car’s history using it’s VIN number. Ed goes onto share how he started Car Trek and his fit into Auto Tempest. Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, NACT of the Year juror and board member joins Alan as they change gears and shares his time out in the car world. Alan chimes in and talks about how Karl bought a GT and has doubled in it’s value which is rare. Karl talks about the new Acura TLX Type S and the Ducati Monster motorcycle. He shares his experience driving the Ducati around San Francisco and how amazing it was. He also shares his time when he went on a driving event called LongTail Rally that started in Laguna Beach to Las Vegas. Josh Hancock – JoshCAR Hollywood Car Consultant shares his excitement about a new Netflix show coming out that is similar to Baby Driver. He and Alan talk about how the price of used vehicles has gone through the roof during the pandemic. They go on to discuss the shortage of fuel this summer because there are no drivers. They discuss the new Ford F-150 being called Lightening. Alan shares his test drive with the new Bronco Sport SUV. Brian Moody – Executive Editor for Autortrader.com slides into the closing seat and talks about the shortage of vehicles to rent. He shares an app called Duro which allows you to rent people’s personal vehicles. The shortage of microchips is really taking an affect in the auto world. The two discuss how Cadillac is making a new Escalade that has a diesel engine. Alan closes the show with his experience on test driving the Pacifica Hybrid, and how his kids bought when because of how great it is. Need More?
