New week, new show! Taking shotgun this week with Alan is Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, North American Car and Truck of the Year juror and board member. Executive Analyst for ISeeCars.com and Executive Publisher at CarExpert.com. Karl talks about testing the new Ford Bronco, which is not to be confused with the Ford Bronco Sport that is already out. He says Ford combined retro style with modern technology in the new Bronco and it is awesome! With its trail turn assist, it locks one of the rear wheels as you are turning to make you have a tighter turn. It will cause the car to almost turn on its own access and it’s completely great for getting around obstacles while off-roading.  Karl switches gears and talks about Panasonic selling all their Tesla stock and making billions of dollars and whether they sold it because they wanted to make money or because they are worried about the stock going down in price. They duo talk about how manufacturers are still having microchip shortages and it is causing delays across the board.  BJ Killeen – Automotive Journalist and Voice of Reason joins the crew as they talk about how cars are selling for a lot more right now due to the shortage of new vehicles, and how if you want to buy a car you should try and wait for 6 months for the prices to come back down. Alan chimes in and shares about having fun riding around on an electric bike and how fun it was.  BJ talks about driving the Mustang Mach-E and how she liked it. Alan talks about how he still wants a vehicle that he can hear the engine roaring and how he is resisting these new electric cars.  Alan goes on about driving the 2021 Dodge Charger Redeye how much of a beast it was and fun to drive. BJ talks about driving the Hyundai Venue Denim and how it’s a very affordable vehicle. She talks about how the Denim version gets it’s name by how it looks on the exterior and interior and how it resembles denim material. She talks about how it’s a great for driving around town. Next on the starter line is Perry Stern – Editor of AutoNXT.net and Contributor to MSN.com. He says RVs are selling like hotcakes right now and having record numbers of sales that has never been seen before. Perry talks about how he has a camper trailer and tows it is using a Subaru Ascent. Perry talks about how great the Subaru handles while towing his camper.  Alan talks about how fun it was to test drive the new Dodge Hellcat Redeye that has 800 horsepower. They talk about how most of the car companies are putting the Hellcat engine into at least one model of their new vehicles because of how awesome it is. The duo goes on to talk about the new AMG speed boat called the Nighthawk that was introduced last week that has 2250 horsepower. They talk about how people feel like they have lost a year due to the covid restrictions, so people are going out and buying things like speed boats and RVs to feel like they are living again. Pulling in the rear is Lauren Fix – Editor in-Chief for Car Coach Reports. They discuss the massive shortage of rental cars right now. They also talk about how it can be hard to find a ride with Uber, Lyft, or even from a taxi.  Lauren says that the reason for the car shortages is because when covid hit rental dealerships decided to sell a lot of their cars because they were losing money by having the cars just sit there and now they don’t have enough cars to go around. Alan thinks that things like electric bikes are going to start to be more popular because of the shortage of rental vehicles. Lauren talks about test driving the new Jeep Grand Cherokee L which is a 3 row SUV. She says that this vehicle is a bit on the expensive side for an SUV but it’s is well worth the price. Need more?
