Pump your brakes and settle in as Alan brings you another super charged show. This week he welcomes Karl Brauer – Automotive Industry Analyst, Forbes Autos Contributor, North American Car and Truck of the Year juror and board member. Executive Analyst for ISeeCars.com and Executive Publisher at CarExpert.com. Karl shares how I See Cars. com has done a study that will blow your minds, on how you can buy out your lease, sell it and make big money.  Karl explains how a lease is basically consumer paying for the depreciation of the car.  Most cases if you have a lease ending in the next few months, you will be able to buy it out and make big money.  Karl throws in a curve and talks about a beautiful first of its kind, Maserati MC20, an Italian high-performance sports car that he saw at Pebble Beach.   He goes on to share that he got to drive the new Ford Bronco. The 4-door and then the 2-door model and felt he could own one.  He also drove a classic vintage Ford Bronco that has been modernized for about $400K.  The vintage shell was put on a brand-new Art Morrison chassis, with Currie differentials, an all-new suspension, Brembo brakes system, and a brand-new Coyote 5-liter fuel injection engine with a 5-speed automatic. What a beauty. Burning the tracks and bringing the heat next is George Kennedy III – Co-founder of Cartender and Freelance Automotive Journalist for CarGurus, Boston Globe, and U.S. News & World Report. Alan inquires about the Lime Rock Vintage race.  George explains that every Labor Day weekend they do a vintage race.   George shares more about the Lime Rock Vintage Race and shares that there is no racing on Sunday because it becomes the Concours in the Park where the track is lined with collector vintage cars for everyone to see then its back to racing on Monday.  Alan shifts gears and asks George his opinion about the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder.  George says it’s a family SUV similar to a Honda Highlander.  3.5 Liter V6 that handles well.  They talk about the tech that now comes with the new cars and how sometimes it’s too much.  Alan feels that Nissan kind of got off track with this one.  Dan Sandberg – President and CEO of Brembo Brakes North America joins the conversation as he and Alan talk about his friend going to Barret-Jackson to auction off a car. They both say how nice it is that car shows are starting to happen again. Dan talks about how Brembo is doing a massive overhaul to the company from the high-performance brake kits to their newly upgraded program. Brembo is also introducing a racetrack kit called the Pista program. Alan talks about how someone tried to sell him knockoff Brembo parts and Dan says you can verify if they are truly Brembo parts by scanning the QR code with your phone. Closing in and bringing up the rear is Harvey Briggs – Editor and Publisher for Rides and Drive. They talk about the new Infiniti QX55 that they both got to test drive for 24 hours. They say that the car made a great first impression because of how sleek and sexy it looks. Harvey sheds a little light about an variable compression engine that will give you good gas mileage when you drive normally but have the ability to switch over and give you a boost when you need some speed.  Lastly, Mr. Briggs shares how he got to drive a Rolls Royce for a bit in celebration of his book, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars: Making a Legend.
